- Let's take a moment to look at a real life case. An engineer in an organization who find themselves in this ethical gray area. Bob? - So I'm going to talk about a situation where this individual has multiple ethical standards that they're expected to uphold. But upholding one is going to cause them to compromise the other. A very difficult situation, but as you say, a true story I think we need to discuss. So there's an engineer named Michael, and Michael is working on new electric cell technology for electric cars, power cells for electric cars using a completely different chemical property associated with it, and they're getting some absolutely fantastic results. They go through some environmental tests associated with this. And there is a potential that there could be some physical danger or health danger for a user of vehicle in some odd circumstances, right, of the use of these batteries for a longer period of time, okay? The company that's developing this decides, too…
