- If you framed your message introduction like a catchy movie trailer, be sure that there's some substantial plot for the audience to follow. By plot, I mean a theme, a storyline, a flow that makes sense and is memorable. In a previous example with our protagonist, Melina, she opened her introduction by saying that Generation Z customers shop differently than their mothers used to. The setup of this example uses standard story design principles of once upon a time that we all know from our childhood. You can progress the story setup by something like. "And then one day," describing a change or a problem or an additional complication, by saying, "And because of that." And as you would with any good story, you eventually reach the finally, the resolution of the story that brings the new reality to light, your proposed solution.
