- As an agile team, the best measure of your progress is a working product. A successful scrum team will have a potentially shippable product increment each sprint. Because you're delivering a working product, you shouldn't need weekly reports, but for managers who are used to productivity reports, it can be a hard habit to break. You see this with managers who keep a close eye on the team's velocity. They look at the velocity as a gauge for the team's productivity, but velocity is really just a way to determine the team's capacity. It's how much you can deliver in a sprint. So think of it this way. I once worked for an organization with several agile teams. These teams were islands of agility that could be used to transform the rest of the organization.
