- It seems no matter what team I work with there's always contention and challenges with everybody's expectations on MVP, minimum viable product. And as a product owner or BA, you play a big role in managing the expectations of MVP with a typically wide group of stakeholders, all with different interests. These stakeholders, they all might define MVP differently and have different priorities. Your priority as a product owner or business analyst, though, is to solve customer problems and challenges. You've got to move the results forward. So that's one thing to keep in mind as you're going through this MVP negotiation. So how do we manage all these stakeholders and their various expectations? Well first, focus on being transparent. What this means to me is that we have to focus on helping everybody see what everybody else sees. This means that your backlog is transparent, your release plans are transparent, your roadmaps are transparent, and all these different stakeholder priorities…
