- There is one surefire way to level up your job search and that's education. If you've been struggling in your job search and you've been collecting all the data, analyzing it for opportunities, building a strategy, and connecting with the right people, but you still aren't having any luck, you may wish to consider pursuing additional formal education avenues. Based on the data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, you can see that the unemployment rate is lower every time you reach a new level of educational attainment, and wages also go up at each level of educational attainment. Now this data is from 2019, but this is generally true historically. Unemployment rates are almost always lower the more education you have.
