Editing relationships

Editing relationships

- [Instructor] As easy as relationships are to create dragging from field A to field B you may find you've made a mistake when building your relationships. You may also need to delete a relationship in order to edit one of the fields used to relate two or more tables. To delete a relationship click once on the connector line and press Delete. Access asks if you're sure about that and if you are click Yes. As long as you restore the relationship after your field edits everything supported by that relationship will still work. To edit a relationship, double-click the connector line. You can also right-click it and choose Edit Relationship from the pop-up. Then in the resulting dialogue box you can change the tables or fields using the drop list. If your data is financial or legal such as banking or tax records prevent deletion of related records by checking the box next to Enforce Referential Integrity.
