- How can you harness emotions to make learning stickier? Take a moment to reflect how you feel right now, and quickly write it or draw an emoticon. I've drawn a happy, but attentive face, because whilst I'm enjoying recording this video for you, I'm paying attention to get it right. Do you think your current emotion will help you learn, or distract you from learning? Stay alert, because we'll come back to this shortly. Now have a look at this picture. Did you tilt your head to look at it? How do you feel? Your tilted head mirrors what you do when you're curious. Your brain and body are completely linked, so when your brain gets the message, "tilted head," it associates it with curiosity, and hey, presto, you begin genuinely to feel curious.
