- Coworking spaces and coffee shops are great places to work and meet with other people, but if you want everyone in there to hate you, you should do the following. Take up the best table all day. And by the way, only order one beverage. Look, they're running a business too. You're depriving them of resources, like that table. Take a bigger table than you need and spread your stuff out. I saw a guy doing his taxes one time and another woman doing her expense reporting. Again, you're denying other customers the opportunity to use that space. Be sensitive to them. You should talk on the phone incessantly. We want to hear how important you are and how big that deal is that you're working on. Look, you don't have to prove that you're some titan of industry by talking loud on a call. Also, when you talk on the phone, you may be violating client confidentiality or at the very least violating professional courtesy by sharing things about the person you're talking to.
