- One daily scrum after another, the team cites an impediment. During every retrospective, the same anchors to success exist. If this sounds like your team, let's talk about a few ways to remove these impediments so they never plague the team again. To properly remove an impediment, it has to be adequately identified. Here are a few techniques to identify an impediment. The first technique to identify an impediment is to listen for the obvious. A team member during a daily scrum or otherwise explicitly says, "I have an impediment." You dream of team members expressing their impediments this explicitly all the time.
