- Giving good feedback should be like being a good phlebotomist drawing blood. It can be challenging and tough, but when done correctly and with the proper bedside manner, it works on the first try and the receiver only feels a slight pinch. Further signs you've succeeded are that you achieved the intended results with no pain or bruising and just a little pressure needed on the effected area to prevent it from bleeding. To have your people walk out of your feedback conversations with these same positive results, you must put in the legwork throughout the year. Here are some tips for doing so. Meet regularly with your people, both one-on-one and in teams, and intentionally build solid and positive relationships throughout the year.
