Do a brain dump to clear your mind
- We don't want things floating around in our head 'cause then they're just taking up room, right? For the, it takes up space, and it takes up a lot of the calories that our brain is burning. We want to get them out of there. So, what I do is I do a brain dump. I call it a purge. I do a brain dump on Sunday. I do it for my family, and on Monday morning, I do it for work. So, I very intentionally keep those separated. I don't want to think about work, necessarily, 'til Monday morning so that my Sunday is really focused on family. So, what I do during that time is I write out, "What are the things I want to accomplish this week?" And I pull things from calendar, and I'm writing down and just getting the things out of my head so that when I'm sitting down for that 10 minutes of focused planning each day, I take that weekly kickstart.
