- When a project finally comes to an end, the project manager has a number of very important people management activities to carry out before the team is disbanded. The first of these is to conduct performance reviews for each member of the project team. Remember, some of these people may have been working on the project for a significant length of time, so their performance should feed into their overall annual review. Reviews are a great motivator for people to want to participate in projects in the future, and should be carried out on a one-to-one basis and followed up in writing to their direct line manager. Next, the project manager should check the reintegration plans for the project team members. Sometimes people are seconded onto a project out of their day role, and it's not always easy to just step back in.
