- Imagine, if you had just one opportunity to tell your story, to convince someone, to feature your efforts in a new story, to invite you to speak from the stage at an important conference, or to help you drive change around an initiative that matters to you. The truth is, you really do just have one opportunity. Each time you get an interview with the press or get in front of a key influencer in your field, you have one chance to make a great impression. That's why it pays to be prepared. Developing your team or organization's message template or your talking points document is the most valuable exercise you can do so that you're ready for these opportunities.
