Developing a plan for transition

- Having a transition plan is just as important as a project or program plan. Actually, it's more important because not only will the project output need to work but people will need to be ready, willing and able to use the project outputs. This plan addresses the activities that need to happen prior to a project delivering its outputs. Then the activities that happen once the outputs go live and the activities that take place to monitor and measure outcomes and benefits. And all of these activities will need to run alongside existing business as usual activities with minimum disruption. So let's take a look at the activities you'll need to cover in this plan. During pre-transition, before the project delivers its outputs the business managers create the transition plans which include; communicating the changes to stakeholders, assessment of learning needs, delivery of training and support arrangements for transition.…
