- [Instructor] Let's go through a few more characteristics of a growth mindset. Somebody with a growth mindset believes, one, that intelligence can be developed, that tomorrow I can be smarter than I am today, and a year from now, I can be much smarter than I am today, and 10 years from now, oh my goodness. Number two. Somebody with a growth mindset embraces challenges. They see them as an opportunity to climb a new mountain. Number three. Somebody with a growth mindset, they persist in the face of setbacks. You see, when failing only gives you something you can learn from and allows you to go back and tackle the problem better this time than you did last time, it gives you a hope that allows you to persist. Fourth, somebody with a growth mindset sees effort as a path to mastery. There's a sense, a belief, a faith that the effort invested in a project or in a task will make you better at that task until, eventually…
