- This seems so straightforward and simple, doesn't it? Be self-confident and believe in yourself. The fact is, I think developing self-confidence is probably one of the hardest skills to learn and maintain over time. I don't care if you're a CEO, or a brand new, entry-level sales person. The reality is, self-confidence is a challenge for all of us at times. The difference, though, is the experience some people have in knowing the techniques to overcome the blue attitude that hits all of us occasionally. Very often you'll find that having an upbeat personality and being confident go hand-in-hand, or feed off each other. Surrounding yourself with positive people versus negative people, could often help you feel better about yourself. The same holds true for the managers we work work for, and colleagues who are our peers. Those who are supportive, give good quality feedback to you, and recognize or reward your efforts…
