- Why does your role exist? That's not a trick question. Why has your employer decided to have someone doing your job? I hope you know the answer, because it's a lot easier to give your best if you understand why your work is important and valuable. If you only know what you're supposed to do without knowing why you're doing it, then it's very difficult to stay motivated.
