Curating the best team to solve a problem

- If you want to get the best ideas out of a team, you need to make sure you've got the right people in that team. Simply using whoever happens to be available at the time is highly unlikely to get you those top class ideas. So, here's how to put together the best team of thinkers for your project. Start by listing all the skills and knowledge you think you might need to solve your problem. This will include skills like organizing, researching, and selling as well as strategizing and imagining and it should include knowledge that's broader than the area you're working in. Once you've written this list, curate a group of people who can best bring all these things to the table. Make the group as diverse as possible because the broader the knowledge, skills, and experience your group has the more territory it can explore for ideas. If you limit the team to people in the same department, you're more likely to get groupthink.…
