- Our company has been around for 25 years and when I founded it 25 years ago, I'm not sure I realized how important creating a good culture really was. Nobody even really talked about culture, and it was only through understanding the importance of building a culture that people would have flexibility, that warmth, that they felt like it was working with a company with a purpose that I really started honing in on how we could create a workplace that would exude those things. So, one day as I was sitting outside, I was looking at the most beautiful tree, and it is a tree that gives us such natural shade that everybody just wants to come and sit under this tree. And I was thinking about culture and I was thinking about the tree and I was thinking about how do we build a place that will give people that feeling of warmth and purpose?
