Creating the right communication strategy
- A well defined cross functional communication strategy is the foundation for a successful organization. The strategy should include, defining preferred communication, and the interaction styles across the team, as well as collaboratively developing a plan for how to communicate throughout those busy days, weeks and months ahead. A solid communication strategy will likely include the following. First, identify the lines of communication, the frequency of updates, the cadence and the type of meetings, responsibilities, ownership and decision makers. Next up, define what success looks like including expectations, key performance indicators or KPIs, project milestones, deliverables and all their interdependencies.
