Creating flow projects
- I had a colleague once who possessed an unusual amount of joy, passion, and commitment for every aspect of his job. I loved working with him. He never complained, found solutions to problems, was patient and interested in finding ways to improve all situations. I admired him for the way he approached his work. In retrospect, I can see that he often created a sense of flow in his work. At that point in my career I didn't have the same attitude toward my work. I didn't have the wisdom to approach work as a continuous opportunity to connect, create more challenging opportunities, and to experience flow. It's been proven in a few studies that the more time a person spends in flow during the week, the better the overall quality of his or her reported experience.
