- Do you have a plan for your career? How long could you talk to me about that plan? Sadly, most people I do this exercise with run out of anything to say within a minute or so which is terrible. As a saying goes, if you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there. It's not a plan unless it's in writing. In the exercise file, it's the Vision Mission and Goals Worksheet that you can use to consider what you would like to accomplish for yourself over the next five years. What job do you want to be doing? Who do you want to work for? How much do you want to earn and how will you make that happen? When your personal energy is focused and it's plan-driven, it is much more powerful. Now next, need to plan for the department.
