- In 1961, the US President, John F. Kennedy, expressed his desire to put a man on the moon before the end of the decade. It became NASA's written goal and target. And the rest is history. In July, 1969, only five months shy of that end of the decade target, Neil Armstrong set foot safely on the moon. When is the last time you thought through and wrote down your goals and plans, turning your own moon landing dream into clear and doable goals and actions? Become like NASA, and understand the importance of creating clearly stated written goals that are very precise and achievable. Do this by following two key pieces of advice. Starting today, always write down your goals. Commit yourself to paper and write down or type up the different range of things you want to achieve and do at work, and also in your personal life.
