Converting and hiring Gen Z

Hiring Generation Z may feel very different. For a start Gen Zs are cautious. While many are very interested to gain experience and knowledge in larger organizations, they can also be reticent in their approach to corporate employment. They are wary about pivots in corporate strategy, negatively impacting their situation and on-going financial health. They are looking for signs that will give them confidence about job security. Generation Zs typically tap their friends and family for connections, when researching possible employers. If they then advance through the hiring process, they get valuable insights, including actual employee experiences. Messaging during interviews, therefore needs to be consistent with recruiting outreach and validate internal realities. Gen Z prefer to hear unsugar-coated, authentic stories.
