- Have you ever heard the term groupthink? This is when a group of people all agree with a decision, even if one team member feels the group's decision may not be the best one. We all want to fit in, right? Well, that team member may not share their opinion for fear of confrontation or concern about how their opinion will be perceived by everyone else. Oftentimes, groupthink occurs when a manager of the team has a strong opinion and has made a decision that the others may not agree with but they won't speak against their boss' decision. This behavior can also occur in the recruiting and interview process, what is known as conformity bias.
