- Have you ever experienced a situation like this? - Okay, we're going in a new direction. Forget the plan we developed, grab your laptop and come get the new plan details. - But what happened? We spent so much time on that. How come there's a new direction? - What? Never mind that. You got to roll out this plan right away. (Alex sighs) - Generation Z is used to more agency, understanding and involvement than generations before them. So giving ultimatums and unexplained orders, is not going to give you the results you want. Commands don't work. Generation Z appreciates getting clear direction. Then they can move forward independently with guidelines they can work with. They are used to understanding why, and being more informed and included. Gen Z will respond well when they are respected and trusted, rather than ordered around. Be transparent, using an open approach. Keep in mind that Generation Z are cautious.…
