Common ethical issues
- In many case, ethical issues sneak up on us. We aren't quite prepared and next thing we know, temptation to cheat a little, push an ethical boundary is upon us. We really don't want to get caught out in those situations. So, it's good to know about the most common ethical issues that happen in the workplace so you are prepared should temptation find you. I've included an exercise file to help with that but let's look at common issues more closely. According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, there are five common ethical issues that occur at work. The first is misusing company time. This includes claiming time you didn't actually work or conducting personal business during business hours. Now hopefully you and your employer can apply a bit of reasonability here.
