- [Voiceover] There are four Quick Edit options available for making changes to each individual's account. I'm going to scroll down to the bottom of my main user list and here on the far right are the Quick Edit options. If you hover your mouse over this area, you'll see these options appear. For an unregistered user who is identified by seeing the word Never in the Last Login column, I have four Quick Edit options. And these are to add to a group, edit a user, resend the welcome email, or assign a playlist to that user.
Once a user registers their lynda.com account the word Never will be replaced with the date in the Last Login column, indicating that a user has logged into their account. When a user is registered, the resend email Quick Edit option will disappear. For an unregistered user, this Quick Edit option offers an easy way to resend the welcome email to that user to help remind them to register their account. Clicking on this will bring up a window asking if you want to confirm resending the welcome email to that user.
By confirming, an email will be sent to that individual welcoming them to their lynda.com account and it will provide information on how to set up their user name and profile. To confirm, click Resend welcome email or click Cancel to close out. The first Quick Edit option is to add a group which offers the option to quickly add or remove an individual from assigned groups. So clicking on this will give a drop-down menu of all the groups that I have, and checking or unchecking these will assign, or reassign, or even unassign the user from these groups.
Click Save to confirm changes. You can also click X to cancel. The second Quick Edit option is to edit the user profile. Clicking on this will pop up that user's profile. Here you can change the first or last name or if the user has not yet registered their email, you can change their email here. But once the user has registered, you can no longer change their email or unique ID since it's now their personal identifier. You can unassign a playlist by clicking on the X on the far right.
You can also change a user's group. Once all of your changes have been made, you can click Save to confirm or Cancel to close. And finally, the last Quick Edit option is to assign a playlist. If you have playlists created, clicking this will drop down the list of your playlists and you can select one of them to assign that playlist to that user. Click Assign to confirm or Cancel to close. And those are all of our Quick Edit options.
Some really easy ways to make those quick changes to an individual user's account.
