- There's a Yiddish proverb that says the only person who likes change is a wet baby. I think that's a pretty accurate statement. Most of us don't like change, but it's important in our personal lives and in business in order to grow. If you lead the right way, you can make sure change has a positive impact on your organization. Let's take a look at how to do this. Start by developing a clear and consistent message about the change and plan how to share it throughout the company. If the change affects the whole organization, I recommend putting together an executive team, a team of leaders, and a team of influencers to make sure everyone is on the same page. Work with each group on the best ways to message the change to their peers. Often updates circulate through the rumor mill and different departments hear about change efforts at different times.
