- [Narrator] Let's see how a candidate might answer this question and I'll be right back with some feedback. - A while ago, I worked at a company with a strong build culture, where the tools were built in-house. I was a junior engineer and the tools I used were built by my more tenured colleagues. We needed to develop tooling for fraud detection as we were seeing an uptick in fraudulent logins. Now my more seasoned colleague immediately suggested that we build a more homegrown solution. I pushed back saying that while we were great at building a platform with several interactive experiences, we had no background in fraud detection. Now, we didn't know each other so well, so the disagreement got a little personal.
