- [Jenny] Here's a quick example of how you might go about answering this question in your next interview. - Okay, I'm a really process oriented person, so I'm a big believer in having consistent, repeatable prospecting strategy. Of course I allow for flexibility depending on the company or the person I'm approaching. But this is my general approach. First, I constantly study the industry. I keep a close eye on our competition. I pay attention to new businesses opening up in my territory or companies go through mergers, restructures, leadership changes. Every Monday I create a prioritized list of prospects to reach out to that week, with specific notes on why I think they're a potential fit and details on the person I'm contacting.
