- [Instructor] Here's an example of how a candidate might answer the objection question. I'll be right back and share some thoughts. - Well in my current job, the most common objections I hear are both related to price. We don't have a budget for that right now or the product is too expensive. So the way I handle that, first of all, I never get defensive. That's the fastest way to lose their attention and their respect. But I also don't give up immediately either. When I hear we don't have the money for that right now, I'll usually say something like, "I completely understand. "A lot of companies deal with the same challenge "at this time every year. "I'm actually not trying to sell you anything right now. "But I'd love to chat a bit with you "about how your HR team is managing "your recruiting process right now.
