- [Instructor] Here's something you might say when asked where you'd research your prospect. - The very first place I'd go to research a prospect is LinkedIn. You can get so much information from their profile that helps build rapport right from the start. I look for common bonds in our career paths, interests, maybe schooling that I could use as icebreakers and sometimes I'll see something interesting that they've shared on their feed, I can reference that in a call. I also look at our databases to see if we've had any prior contact with the prospect and what the notes are there. To study organizations, I review the company news section in their websites, I look at social media channels including LinkedIn, sites like Glassdoor are really helpful to see what people are saying about them. Finally I do a bit of research on their competitors, on their websites and social media channels to see if I can dig up any information that may…
