- Consider the analogy of a bank account. If someone is taking too many withdrawals out of their natural type and way of working with and interacting with others, pretty soon, their bank account balance will be at zero. As an introvert myself, I also like to think about it as an iPhone turning red on 10% or less battery. Let's talk about how to create spaces for introverts to recharge in the broader context of work. When I find myself in too many situations with other people, especially if I'm already feeling run down, I simply can't get to a full charge unless I take proactive measures to say no, have plenty of alone time, and focus on my own health and wellness. It's often the case that I don't realize until it's too late that I'm approaching a point of burnout and even resentment.
