CSCMP credentials
- CSCMP is the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. They've been around since 1963. They started as the National Association of Physical Distribution, then became the Council of Logistics Management, and now CSCMP. Their certification is called SCPro and it has three levels. It's organized around these eight pillars, integrated supply chain management, demand and supply integration, supply management and procurement, manufacturing and service operations, transportation, inventory management, warehousing, order fulfillment and customer service. You need to take courses and develop your knowledge in each of these areas in order to prepare for the SCPro certification. To be eligible for the SCPro Level One, you first need to have a four-year degree or four years of work experience. Then you need to pass a 4 1/2-hour exam.
