Have you ever heard, "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail"? Well, that's exactly what we mean here. We want to plan our approach to the CBAP exam, so that we're successful. With some smart planning, and some dedicated study time, you can more easily approach studying for this intense exam. I will be walking you through each of the content areas, that you should know, to help you successfully answer the questions on your exam. I will be giving you a structure on the types of content and what elements are needed to be understood. This course, however, will not be teaching you all the detailed content. That's up to you to study. I want to give you insight in that the application portion is the part that tests your experience, while the examination tests how well you know, and can apply, the BABOK Guide concepts. What I mean is that you have to show your understanding of what business analysis by entering your work experience on your CBAP application. Regardless if you've been a practicing business analyst for many years, or you are more recent into the BA profession, the CBAP application requires business analysis experience. Then the exam is a standardized test, based on the BABOK Guide. While you may know how to perform the tasks or techniques in your own organization, you will need to focus on answering the questions according to the BABOK Guide. We'll all been there! We've tailored techniques or combined tasks to get the work done and please the client or customer. And that's great! That flexibility, agility, and creativity is what makes us successful business analysts. But when you sit down to take your test, you need to be focused on what is the underlying foundation and best practice that our analysis activities are based upon. This course lays out a plan on not only what you need to study, but how. The plan leverages your valuable experience you have to log on your CBAP application, so that you get more value for your time. By combining your current knowledge, with the detailed book knowledge, you'll be able to successfully approach and pass the CBAP examination.
