- We've talked about all the elements to touch upon when communicating with investors, so what do you put in your pitch deck and how do you structure it? It's important to understand what the role a pitch deck plays. The deck is there to enhance your pitch and it should be visually interesting. Excess words aren't visually interesting, so we have to keep text at a minimum. There's no hard rule to how long a pitch deck should be. There are some very successful decks that are as short as three pages and some that are 15 slides long. So, how do you know how long to make it? I always advise to plan to keep it as short as possible. It'll challenge you to keep your information short and concise as you're putting it together. Some critical elements to mention is to include a vision page. Try and define your vision under three sentences or less. That page should only include just that.
