- Scrum is the most popular of the Agile frameworks, so we'll use that as we talk about building the team and practices you'll be piloting. Scrum is the most common Agile framework because it's easy to understand and use. Scrum is a lightweight framework to develop software on a fast, two-to-four-week cadence with a focus on delivering working software. There are only three roles on any Scrum team. They're the product owner, Scrum master, and team. Let's start with the product owner, or PO, role. This is the business representative who's 100% dedicated to the team. They are the decision maker on what's most valuable to the business. Their focus is on making sure the team is delivering exactly what the business wants. Next is the Scrum master. The Scrum master is an expert at the Agile framework known as Scrum. They guide the team and PO on Scrum practices and the Agile mindset and coach them toward high performance.…
