- Building relationships is absolutely the very best foundation for improving your feedback skills. And the very best foundation of any relationship is trust. By the end of this video, you'll know the seven simple steps to trust building that I've compiled over my last 35 years in this field. The first is to be good at your own job. I have seen people spend more time focused on the activities and proficiencies of their coworkers than they do getting their own job done. Take care of what you've been asked to do and do it well. The next step is to be drama free. There is no greater energy drain on a team or organization than someone who looks for, focuses on or invents drama.
