Building a customer loyalty program

- Instead of a basic loyalty program, which might include a simple points program or a card that treats all customers the same, I teach my clients to build a ladder of loyalty. Helping them better define their goals and using the loyalty program as a way to grow revenue and increase loyalty to your brand. New customers start at the bottom of the ladder and as they become more loyal they climb further and further up the ladder. To create a world class ladder of loyalty you just need to follow six simple steps. Step one, define your objectives. Articulate the objectives for your loyalty program. Objectives might include increasing customer value and profitability of various customer segments, growing the size of your customer database, increasing the transaction size and frequency of customer spending, or increasing word of mouth and recommendations amongst customers.
