- If you want to get investment for learning transformation, you're going to need to build a strong business case. The thing is the benefits of your project might be obvious to you, but that doesn't mean that key stakeholders or decision makers will see it the same way. Don't forget that they're dealing with the competing needs and goals of many different business units, and there's only so much budget and resources to go around. Start out by asking yourself, what are the business needs my project will meet? To do this, you'll need to know what your organization's KPIs are and work backwards from there. Next, look for data to support your case. What roles is HR struggling to fill? Have skills gaps impacted revenue or safety? Also, research your competitors.
