- You can depend on your friend, they're straight with you, you can say anything, you can be vulnerable, make mistakes, you have faith in them, you can be yourself with them and they can do the same with you. Trust is a two-way street. We often don't think about trust at work, but the benefits of trusting colleagues are numerous. When you can feel comfortable with coworkers and speak freely, brainstorm ideas and debate strategies openly and thoroughly, depend on each other and take reasonable risk together, you can all be in sync and focus on achieving goals, less distracted by politics, feelings of insecurity and each be your best self, all doing your best work.
