- In 2016, a group of researchers looked at data from 112 studies representing over 7,000 teams to resolve the debate about whether inter-team trust makes a difference for team performance. Turns out, trust really does make a difference. This deeper look into the studies revealed that relationships between trust and team performance was strongest for teams with high levels of interdependence. One member's success can't happen without the collective activities of the others.
