- [Instructor] Success at work is achieved socially, meaning it results from people working together. It's vital to think about building great relationships. There are of course many factors that support effective relationships. Here I'd like to share a few that are particularly important for professional relationships. The first idea I want ya to consider is a collaboration mentality. The goal when working with others isn't to first think about status, no. Look at colleagues, as colleagues who all contribute in different ways. The point is to review the task and yourself how you could work with others as needed to get the work done. You really have to get past thinking about you versus them. Only when you see you're all on the same team do you realize the power of collaboration, which is more useful than fretting over titles and statuses.
