Build a great relationship with your manager

- [Pete] Okay, well, and so then I think for some who have never managed up, that maybe require a little bit of a paradigm shift, like, what? - [Mary] Yeah. - [Pete] Is that even appropriate? So maybe you could start there in terms of what is the appropriate way in terms of broad mindset and perspective to think about the extent to which we should be managing our bosses and how that works. - [Mary] Yeah, that's a great question, and it does require a paradigm shift for many people. So the first thing you want to think about is who is your boss and what are you willing to do to adapt to your boss?
