Skill Level Beginner
- Hi friends, welcome. Today we're going to be sharing some practices that would be really useful if you find yourself wearing a mask during most of your workday. So just for an example here's my fancy mask. And again, if you're in the healthcare profession, you're going to be wearing an official mask. But now that they're required in most public environments, you know, we find ourselves most of the day, with our nose covered and breathing in, you know, C02. And that creates a feeling of lethargy in the body where you feel more tired, heavier in our body, and sometimes our muscles can even get sore. And if your job requires it and you're wearing this like for four hour shifts with a slight, you know, break or a lunch break, it actually increases the temperature of your body overtime. So what we're recommending is that you really look at breath work as a practice that you bring into your everyday life. And in this series we're going to be sharing specific practices to help increase the oxygen level, to decrease stress levels, and so you can find yourself even when you're wearing your mask, taking a deeper, more full breath, and really emptying the lungs at the end of the breath. We're going to be really diving into the diaphragm and creating a rhythm of your breathing that you can take into all aspects of your life. So it's always great to work with the breath. In my opinion it's the number one tool to relieve stress and to reinvigorate the body but now more than ever we need to be focused on our breathing. So I'll see you for the next videos and thanks so much. Bye.
