- [Instructor] So after all of these tools to help your write more and write anyway, this tool may come as a little bit of a surprise to you. As much as I'm a huge believer in writing everyday and getting your butt in the chair, and getting something down on the page, even if it's just five words, watch the lecture entitled Write Five Words for more details about that tool, I'm also a firm believer in the power of not writing. It's true that the fastest way to finish a project is to write everyday, and write regardless of whether or not you're inspired to write. A lot of what we do as writers actually happens away from the computer or notebook. It happens while we're washing dishes, walking our dogs, stuck in traffic, showering, standing in line at the supermarket. The truth is, as writers, we are always working. We are always writing.
