Best practices for digital note-taking

- We're used to typing, some of us all day every day. So digital note taking may be the obvious first choice for you. Or often quicker at typing than writing by hand. And it can be easier to move similar notes together and create some structure. However, having a central place for these digital notes is an important first step. So where will you actually take these notes? You have to have a capture location, and I suggest using the same one every single time you take notes. This habit ensures you'll never misplace your notes. Cloud-based tools like Evernote or Google docs work great. You can log on from anywhere and notes are easy to share. Start with creating a folder for your notes. I suggest naming them with the date first and then the topic. For instance, if I'm going to a meeting on August 3rd with my publisher about my book, Listful Living, I'd named the document like this, 08-03-20 Listful Living Publisher Meeting.…
