- Chapter three of the book "Venture Deals" by Brad Feld and Jason Mendelson starts with a reminder from Yoda. "Do. Or do not. There is no try." They use this quote as a useful reminder that a major factor in your ability to raise capital for your business is simply your belief. It isn't easy to raise capital, so you need to believe that you can in order to do the hard work of actually accomplishing that goal. We've explored several different strategies and opportunities for you to raise capital, including grants, loans, professional investors, and even crowdfunding. It's up to you to decide which method is right for you and your company. To keep learning, I recommend reading Brad and Jason's book, "Venture Deals."
