- One of my favorite things to do is being a mentor. A good friend of mine, Brian Mac Mahon, who runs an organization called Expert Dojo once came to me and he was looking to build a startup community. And at the time there was no physical location for what he was trying to do. So I simply gave him some advice on how to build a community. And he has now built one of the largest startup investment accelerators in Southern California. I bring this story up because being a mentor is a win-win you get to feel good and your own personal brand gets street credibility. Now I do collaborations with Expert Dojo, Brian and I do many media projects together. And I've worked with entrepreneurs that he is now mentoring and investing in, and I've even featured them on my national radio show.
